The challenge

A boiler with on/off control and outdated instrumentation produced operational instability, lower efficiency and higher failure risk against a variable steam demand.

Scope

  • Site assessment by instrumentation specialists and evaluation of component reusability
  • P&IDs, instrument list, layout drawings and task sheets for execution
  • Re-instrumentation to restore accurate measurement and reliable feedback to the control
  • Burner and flame control system replacement
  • Integration into a new modulating control scheme

How we worked

Reuse what still works. The survey defined which instruments and components remained valid before specifying replacements.

Execution documentation, not just design. Task sheets and drawings prepared for the plant shutdown.

Result

Stable steam against demand

Extended service life, safer operation and better adaptation to steam demand variations.
