The challenge

A dissolvable plug must hold pressure during fracturing and then dissolve under well conditions. Qualifying it required a bench that reproduces pressure, temperature and fluid in a controlled, repeatable and operator-safe way.

Scope

  • Definition of the test process and bench P&ID
  • Design of the test vessel and the pressurisation and heating circuit
  • 3D model of the assembly: frame, vessel, tanks, pumps and piping
  • Instrumentation, control panel and safety interlocks
  • Acquisition software: pressure and temperature logging, graphs and per-test report
  • Fabrication drawings and bill of materials

How we worked

The test defined the equipment. The qualification procedure was fixed first; the bench was designed to run it exactly.

Safety by design. Pressure-rated vessel, interlocks and operator clearances resolved in the 3D.

Result

Repeatable qualification

A bench that reproduces well conditions and leaves every test logged and reported, ready to build from the delivered documentation.
