Scope

From P&ID to fabrication documentation

Piping and support design with flexibility analysis: 3D model, isometrics, supports, BOM and stress report.

  • Routing and piping design
  • Supports and restraints
  • Stress and flexibility analysis
  • Flexibility isometrics
  • Allowable nozzle loads
  • Material class and line list
  • Layouts and isometric booklets
  • Bills of materials and Support List

Deliverables

3D model

Geometry, connectivity, metadata, supports and spools. Source of truth for all 2D.

Isometrics

Fabrication by line: spools, SHOP and FIELD welds, dimensions and reports.

Stress report

Flexibility, nozzle loads and final support location.

BOM and Support List

Quantities, materials, supports and weld count reconciled against the model.

Process

Six phases, six exit criteria

Every phase closes against a verifiable criterion. When a review finds a problem we go back to the model, so the 2D never becomes a parallel source of truth.

  1. 01

    Preparation

P&IDs, material class, pipeline list, equipment, structures and trays.

    Inputs current and traceable
  2. 02

    3D design

Routing, components, instruments, preliminary supports, spools and welds.

    Model free of critical clashes
  3. 03

    Model reporting

Advanced search, catalogue comparison and log review.

    Model ready for documentation
  4. 04

    Documentation

Layouts and isometric booklet derived from the model.

    2D consistent with 3D
  5. 05

    Cross review

Tags, dimensions, continuations, BOM, revision clouds and triangles.

    Deliverable legible and coherent
  6. 06

    Issue

Revision control following the project's approved circuit.

    Issuable document
Code framework

Codes we work to

We work to the contractual edition of the project. In case of conflict, the agreed document hierarchy prevails.

  • ASME
  • API
  • ANSI
  • AWS
  • DIN
  • ISO
  • KTA
  • IEEE
  • Eurocode
